Being a wing woman is not always easy! Winged eyes can seem intimidating and extremely hard to get even. I am sharing my ultimate and absolute favorite tip to get the perfect wing every time. Regardless of what kind of wing look you may want!
The first thing I like to do, regardless of which type of wing I am wanting, is find the correct angle for my eye. If I want a more noticeable wing I will place the tape at a more horizontal angle vs a more vertical angle which creates a less noticeable wing.
If you are wanting a very natural eye, you can wing your shadow opposed to your eyeliner. To do this all you need to do is create your desired angle with your tape and apply shadow as you normally would. This will keep your eyes clean under and around your eyelid as well as keep your angles even on both sides! Feel free to line or not line your lash line, depending on what you prefer.
Your next option when working with your winged eye is to add a small flick with your eyeliner. To do this you can either leave the tape on and use the tape as your guide or you can remove the tape and free hand your wing for a less perfected look. Another option with this look is to use a coal eyeliner pencil to line your waterline. By doing this you are creating a more defined and noticeable eye.
Another way to change up your wing is to add a little more length to your flick and for a super daring look you can pull it out even more. You can also take a dark eyeshadow color such as a black, brown, bronze or even gold for just a pop and smudge it underneath your bottom lash line. This gives your eye a smudgier and smokier wing look. Once you get your ultimate wing for your eye shape and look – apply mascara, and some lipstick and you are ready to take on your day!
