When Destin Commons asked to feature me for Mother’s Day – not only was I completely honored but also so excited to have an excuse to go shopping for myself and the boys. With online sales and the ease of ordering from your couch, it is easy to forget the way it feels to walk around shopping with bags and items to show for your money immediately. Opposed to waiting 3-5 business days for it to land at your doorstep.
The Destin Commons is a great place to go shopping with the family. First and foremost – there is a great play area for the kids to play in that I feel safe with boy Walker and Braydon climbing on the low slides, boats and turtles. Also, there is a water pad for them to cool off in during our hot summer months as well as a “choo choo train” as Braydon calls it that we can all ride in to take breaks between stores. I also do not feel bad “forcing” Ryan to go shopping because he loves exploring Bass Pro Shops, the Beef Jerky Outlet and catching a movie at the AMC.
With so many options for the family – it leaves me lots of time to shop in my favorite stores! I first made a stop by Starbucks for my afternoon pick me up and Braydon’s afternoon snack which is always something sweet. My makeup in this post is all from Sephora and my lipstick and lipliner are from MAC in Belk. I decided this summer I needed a new pair of mirrored Ray-bans. I have been wearing my blue ones for two years and felt like it was time for a little change. I loved the options I found in The Eye Gallery and decided on these.
Most people decide to start with a top or maybe a certain bottom to base their entire outfit on. As I walked past Steve Madden I knew I couldn’t live without these heels – so these are what my entire outfit was based off of. I then decided to stick with a neutral and classic colored dress, leading me to a white off the shoulder dress from Forever 21. I found a lot of other great off the shoulder dresses in other stores, but I had already purchased this one and it was a steal!
Both of the boys shirts were from H&M. I absolutely LOVE their collection for boys. Braydon also picked out the cutest Batman tee from there as well. (Not pictured)
We always have such a great experience shopping in the Destin Commons and love taking friends and family there when they come to visit thanks to all they have to offer. Make sure to head over to their Styled Spotlight this Mother’s Day to see yours truly.
