Just like so many others, Christmas is my absolute favorite Holiday. It is one of the only Holidays that brings family together from near and far, gives everyone a chance to catch up with loved ones they don’t see as often, and usually encourages everyone to reach out to that dear friend they havent talked to in months.
One of my favorite traditions for Christmas is the Christmas card. I love sending them out and love receiving them even more! Usually, we always include Ryan and I in our Christmas cards as well but this year Ryan was actually out of town during the week for 4 weeks and was only home on the weekends. To avoid the stress of rushing to get our whole family in them and coordinate outfits, we decided to only include our boys.
When deciding outfits for Christmas photos I always want the outfits to coincide but I am not much of the matching type. I typically try to dress our boys differently for most things – even if they have the same shirt they usually wear them on different days. Since we live at the beach and most of our family does not – I usually do our Christmas photos on the beach and mix a little beach vibes (cargo shorts) and Christmas (sweaters and flannel).
Tips on how to dress for your Christmas Photos?
Pick a location
Choose props (Tree, blankets, baskets, ornaments)
Choose a color palette (i.e. green and reds, creams and whites)
Consider your location and weather
Consider your photographers photography style
Christmas photos got a little harder this year – as you can see from this instagram photo. Walker is at the age where he didn’t want to sit still for more than one photo and Braydon is at the age where he likes to make goofy faces. Needless to say it was not easy getting them both to look at the camera let alone smile at the same time.
When shopping for Christmas cards I look for several things. Style, cut, quality and ease of the website. I have ordered from Tiny Prints several times and have always been so in love with our cards when they arrive! I also love that I can take advantage of the matching inserts for the envelopes as well as the return address labels. My favorite Christmas card option they had this year was the NEW! Personalized Foil Cards. With the Tiny Prints new personalized foil collection, your name truly stands out from the rest.

Very pretty cards!!! I've got to get to work on mine!
Great cards! Trust me, it's just as hard to wrangle teenage kids for a great Christmas card picture. My kids got in a fight with each other & my daughter stormed off while I was trying to get this year's picture 😂.
I think my favorite Tiny Prints card is the tri-fold Dear Holly design:

I love the gold foil! And those gold tree envelope liners are so cute!! It's so hard to choose a card but I think I'd go with the slick stripes black holiday photo cards! (https://www.tinyprints.com/product/73217/flat_holiday_photo_cards_slick_stripes.html?productPageTest=1#trim/1)
