Hey Ya’ll!!! So I figured I would share one of my little secrets that I have found works way better than ANY brush cleaner you can buy!!! I swear by this and try to do it every few weeks! Although, I do slip every once in a while, and my face sure does pay!!!!
I mix:
1 cup of warm water.
(I put in microwave for 30 seconds)
1tbs dish soap
1tbs white vinegar

You will see mixture start to bubble when you put your brushes in, and the water will turn into a color that looks like coffee with a lot of creamer! (ew..not the coffee..the water that looks like coffee..ha)
So, after doing this I decided to see, what am I really getting rid of besides just “dirt, oil and makeup buildup.” Well, oh boy let me tell you…after a little research I found that common bacteria found in makeup brushes is:
Staph (yes, STAPH! Staphyloccocus Aureus)
Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
E. Coli
(THESE WERE ALSO FOUND ON STORE TESTER DISPLAYS! BEWARE)
Gross, right?!?
So yeah, Go clean your makeup brushes!!!!!
OH. and the winner to the HL Collection Initial Necklace is Lyndsay Clarke!!!!
Today I have a few ideas for handbags for you guys for this summer!!! I really love the cognac for any season really! And, the straw, stripes, and bright colors is so in for this summer!

How Long Do You Normally Leave The Brushes In The Mixture For?H
Great post, it's so easy to forget to clean your brushes (I know I forget sometimes… speaking of that I should probably go clean them now) but it's so important not just for the health of your skin but also the life of the brushes!!
