Getting Honest In The Nord Sale Dressing Room + First Purchases

Okay – for all my babes who do not have the Nordstrom card for early access — you have been sooo patient!! Way to Go!!!! Okay, so lets talk about how to get you ready because we all know the moment this sale goes live, if it is not already sold out it will be within days if not hours. 

So, I ordered a huge bundle of sale items the night the sale went live when I was working on posts and I have honestly and embarrassingly ordered at least one new item every day since. It’s crazy how many things I have found that I already use on sale. My face wash, new beauty blenders, a travel clarisonic, eye lash serum ((this is new for me but I am excited to finally start trying it – I started applying it last night so I will let you guys know if I start seeing a difference)). Speaking of which – buy it while it is on sale, you can always return it with Nordstroms’ free returns! Also, start putting things in your cart now. If you see something you want to purchase on instagram or online – add it to your cart now and as soon as the sale goes live to the public you will see the prices drop.

On the way home from Miami – we made a quick trip to Nordstrom in Coral Gables. And by quick, I mean two and a half hours, but hey, who’s counting? I tried on probably 75 pieces of clothing, not even kidding. The poor girls working in Nord probably thought I was about to drop $5,000 and sadly for them and their commission, I did not. I kept it under $1,000 but that is just because the sales were seriously that good! I didn’t get a picture of everything but I did get pictures of a few things that I purchased, a few things I liked and didn’t purchase and a few things that looked terrible on me but I have seen on other people and it looked amazing on them! The only part that was not my favorite is that my suitcases were already over packed for our flight- 8.9 lbs to be exact. So I had all of my purchases 3-8 day shipped for free so I haven’t actually gotten them in my hands yet!

When I got home from Miami, though – all of my purchases from the first two days of the sale were at the house waiting on me! SCORE!

First up is a pair of the most comfortable jeans I have ever put on my body and they were so stinkin affordable! I have them on with several of the tops pictured because I didn’t want to keep changing jeans and these were that good that I never felt the need to take them off. Which is also why this entire outfit is being shipped from the store, currently! This faux leather jacket is on major sale and under $65!!

By the way, I love this top and its loose fit without it making me feel or look like I am in a parachute. Keep scrolling to see what I mean!

Tip || the cut on the shoulders of this dress are extremely flattering and thinning to appearance of arms!

So, I also got this olive leather jacket with knit drape fabric on the front – even tho I live in Florida. I seriously just couldn’t pass it up and figured I can wear it this winter, and when I visit family and friends in NC and for NYFW! It is super comfortable and chic and the color is so perfect for this fall.

I absolutely loved this floral romper because of the fact I am not shy when it comes to my chest. For my girls that are – if you are over a size c – I do not recommend this of any size on you, because it is going to end up getting baggy through the hips and butt areas.  I though, live by the moto – if you got it, flaunt it. As long as you keep it appropriate. So, I loved this romper and the pockets didn’t hurt either! 

Y’all, I am not going to lie – I did NOT like this on me. BUT I have loved it on so many other girls, I had to try it on. The difference of why I loved it on my friends is one of two things – they were all taller than me ( I am 5’2″) or, they were smaller chested than I am and could size down so it didn’t look quite so baggy on them. So anyone over 5’5″ and not so large chested – get this!! It will look fab on you, and you can belt it too if you want to!

So, I got this floral top in a small. I am kinda second guessing myself and thinking I maybe should have gotten a medium though (it runs a little small). In this photo, I have on the small, and now looking at the pictures I feel like the chest area could be a little looser. I love the floral understated print and will be styling it under many leather jackets this fall. I am going to try it on when it arrives at the house and after I get back from LA and I will let you guys know on snapchat if I keep the small or exchange it for a medium!

I loved this top! I love the black and white look and can think of countless ways to style it!! This is a must have to wear with leggings, jeans, cut off shorts, or even tuck it in for a tailored look.

I can’t tell you guys the last time I picked up a brown top and thought oh this is cute – I was actually shocked it even caught my eye but I actually really fell in love with this peasant blouse. It was fitted enough to avoid ‘frumpiness.’ If that is even a word. But also flowy, so soft and easy to wear. It has touches of black and ivory in it as well to make it easy to pull out your cute black booties or ivory sandals!

This by far was one of my favorite tops! Honestly, I don’t have much to say other than, fits amazing and true to size. Also, best part – it comes in regular and petite sizes and comes in 14 different colors!! What?! One of each please!

This top is so fun – I didn’t end up purchasing it at the store and I had major FOMO on this top and ordered it after I got home! Crazy, I know! Also, it comes in a super cute dress if you have any late summer weddings coming up!

Okay, so this is another one of those tops I didn’t love on me. I liked the way it looked from the front but from the side I hated the way it dropped down from my boobs making me feel like I was in a parachute. So I love this – but only if your chest is a C or smaller — in my opinion. 

I am having serious withdrawals from this top! I purchased it and it is being shipped to my house currently – actually, I just got a notification that it had been delivered along with the rest of my purchases, and I am in LA and can’t get my hands on it! I have had seriously 3 different ways I wanted to wear it since Monday and it is only Wednesday y’all!!! This is seriously a MUST have!

The crochet and lace detailing on this dress keep it interesting and unique from all of the other floral dresses we are seeing on repeat! It comes in 3 colors and fits true to size! Pair it with nude wedges or a pair of booties!

Can I have one of each please? This dress comes in multiple colors all so perfect for late summer and fall. It will fit any size and body type and flatter them all the same! It did run a little big so size down one size! Plus – it is under $50!
