Yesterday was Braydon’s first day of preschool. It is really so hard for me to believe that 3 days a week he will be away from me most the day! I was really so proud of him for being so brave and strong when I left and it made me so happy that we have raised such a confident young man. I heard a few moms say, I can’t believe my child doesn’t even care that I am just leaving them. I obviously minded my own business and didn’t say anything but in my head I thought, you should really be proud, that means you are doing a great job!!
On both his orientation day and his first day of preschool Bray wore two different pairs of Nikes we got from Rack Room Shoes when we were shopping there a few weeks ago. His school doesn’t allow flip flops so we bought him two pairs of running shoes that would be great for the playground and would keep him from slipping on the tile floors. Afterwards we went and celebrated with a bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream and sprinkles, of course!
Don’t forget there is still time to donate to Shoes That Fit and help the local kids in need in your community have new and fitting shoes for the school year! For more information on the Shoes That Fit campaign and our trip to Rack Room Shoes head here!
