Hey y’all!!! Okay, So I have a little bit of a different post for you all! I get lots of questions on how I put outfits together and where I start with each outfit. There are many different ways to put together an outfit but two of the most common steps I take are 1. Pick one piece you want to base your whole outfit around. Whether it is a top, skirt, or even a piece of jewelry. Pick the one piece you MUST wear that day. 2. Where are you going? Consider your crowd, location and time of day!
So for todays outfit I chose this cute little floral top. I like the off the shoulder and flowy look of this top from Darling Dispositions.
The first look I am going to put together would be for an evening cocktail with a girlfriend or a early evening date with your significant other. It has lots of rich color and a little dressier vibe then the next look. This cobalt blue skort is also from Darling Dispositions.
For this look I chose a pair of white skinny jeans. I would wear this to lunch on the bay or a late morning coffee date with my best friend. It would also be a great shopping outfit. White jeans are an easy item to wear shopping if you are looking for tops. They go with a lot of items so it makes it a lot easier to see how your top will look styled vs. if you shop in a dress you have to find a pair of bottoms that fit to see how the top would look.
Next up is jewelry. This is a very busy top so you could wear a solid color necklace but I chose just a solid gold necklace. I felt like I had plenty of colors and patterns so I didn’t want to take away from my top. I would also pair this with a gold watch, few gold bracelets and a gold statement ring.
And there you have it, just by switching out your bottoms you can wear this top to two totally different places, day or night.
