As I have gotten older the Halloween costume excitement kind of fizzled away for me. That is until college and all of my girlfriends and myself spent a fortune on our costumes to make sure our group of girls had
the most creative and best costumes at all of our Halloween parties.
After that, it began to fizzle out again. Now that I have kids I really want them to enjoy the spirit of all holidays. I try every year to come up with a costume using hings that I can either re-wear, re-purpose, or already have in my closet from previous costumes over the years or just older pieces I do not mind cutting up.
This year I found all of my pieces, which are super affordable, online and the shoes are actually one of my new fave pair of sneaks that I got to wear with jeans and casual dresses.
Due to the rips in the clothes I was thinking something like a tiger or zombie. I felt like they channeled Zombie much more but didn’t want to scare any kids away – so I decided to go with a ‘mom approved’ zombie look. You of course could co much more in depth with your makeup taking it down your neck and making it much scarier but I didn’t want to frighten the boys or any other kids in the neighborhood! I just used black and purple eyeshadows as contouring on my forehead, cheek bones and sides of nose as well as around my eyes to give me bags and to create a sunken in look. I then used a concealer for my lips to wash them out a bit and lined them with black eyeliner and smudged it into my lips to make them seem dehydrated.
I hope you enjoy this super easy Halloween look and tag me on instagram if you recreate it! I would love to see it!!!

Great job with this! I've got some black nikes and ripped denim and ripped yoga pants. You're making me think this may be a good option for me! Loved doing this with you! xo
