With a catchy name like Motorboatin’ 30A, it is kind of hard to not want to know what is going on with this company! They are known for their boat rentals and charters where you can also choose options such as paddle boarding and fishing to go along with your trip! When Ryan and I asked the owners, Matt and Michealanne, how they got the name for their company, they mentioned the “Pontoon” song by Little Big Town! Doesn’t get much more unforgettable than that! We got so lucky with the cool weather and not a cloud in the sky the day we joined Motorboatin’ 30a. We hopped on the pontoon boat right on Lake Powell which is also known as one of Walton county’s coastal dune lakes. Dune lakes are actually pretty rare geological features that only occur in the Florida Panhandle, Madagascar, Australia, New Zealand and the northern Pacific coast of the United States. We took the lake right over to the sand bar that meets the beach for a nice little paddle boarding adventure!
