Needing to do a little Fall cleanup or redecorating in your home? Fall is my favorite time of year to cuddle by the fire place and relax with a good book, magazine, or puzzles with my kids. While flipping through Real Simple’s latest issue I realized, there is no reason to go out and buy all new home decor to make your house feel and look cozy for fall. It is all about where you place everything and pulling out your heavier decor. Faux fur, leather, and suede- pull it out!
Throws that I normally have folded up on the end of the couch or in a basket, candles that have been stuffed in storage and our usual foot rest made our fire place feel oh so inviting. Place them around your fire place without them being in the way. It actually makes you feel like you have more places to sit in your home. Even if it is too warm to have a fire going yet! I also got lots of tips on organizing our home so even tho we had our heavier decor out, it didn’t feel cluttered or over crowded.
