I have already started outfit planning and packing for my trip to Miami in July for Swim Week. Okay, maybe not physically packing, but I have all of my pieces I am taking laid in a pile so I can put full outfits together before I leave. It had be thinking and I decided to share all of my must haves for your vacation regardless to wear you are traveling this summer!!
By the way – if you are not a Nordstrom cardholder already – sign up now! I literally have my Nordstrom credit card for the sole purpose of getting early access to the sales!!!
Early Access starts July 14- July 21. It is then open to the public on July 22nd so say hello to SOLD OUT to everything you wish you had purchased. Prices go back up on Aug. 8!
1. Sunscreen
Nordstrom is my go-to place for sun care products. I feel like they do all the hard work for me and only list the very best. I started using this at the beginning of the summer – GASP – I know the price kinda sucks but you guys, I SWEAR BY IT! I have let all of my friends try it and as bad as it hurt to buy it – they all have and all swear by it as well now. So trust me – if your best friend told you that you needed something you would try it right? Well – think of me as your best friend telling you this. After you try it – you will feel like I am your best friend – trust me.
2. Luggage
I am a sucker for a good duffle bag for weekend trips, carry-ons and just to throw a few extras in when I don’t have any more room in my large suit case. I carried this one for years. That being said I have always went cheap on my rolling luggage due to it always getting destroyed during flight until I discovered hard case suit cases. Hello – have I been living under a rock? Maybe so, because I can’t believe this is my first year rolling one of these babies around!
3. Sunglasses
I purchased these sunglasses a little over two years ago and I still wear them on a regular basis. For me – that is a serious commitment and love for sunglasses. I typically don’t like to spend way too much money on sunglasses but everyone needs one really good pair – just don’t wear them on the boat where you risk loosing them! 😉
4. Sandals
Everyone needs a few great pairs of nude shoes to wear all year long. In the summer they need to be open toe – so sandals it is! Heeled, wedges, flats – you name it. There is no reason for us to make ourselves even hotter and suffer just to wear the perfect shoe. I very rarely cover my toes in the summer unless it is an extremely formal dinner. For casual day time this summer I have been living in these and just ordered these for dressier nights. And – if you follow me on snap chat you saw I just got these in blue suede in yesterday!
5. Light Dresses
I am a sucker for a white shift dress like the one in these pictures. Unfortunately, it sold out before I could even take pictures of it but I will let you know if it restocks. I love the V-neck on the one I linked above tho!! Regardless – when on vacay you need to be cute, cool and comfortable and that is why light dresses are always my go-to!!
6. Floppy Hats
A Floppy hat not only protects your face, shoulders, and hair from the sun – it also finishes off your outfit as well as adds a little extra personality. I also love them to hide my hair and face when I am not wearing any makeup or need to wash my hair! Hence, why they are perfect for the beach!
