Happy Friday!! You guys have just about made it through the week, or if you are reading this over the weekend, YOU MADE IT! 🙂 whew!
Some of the most common questions I get from you guys through emails, snapchat, instagram and so forth are typically about beauty products. If you have been following me for a while then you know I used to blog about beauty a lot more than I do now. I kind of got stuck in a rut and felt like I didn’t have enough content to do a full blog post on beauty items that I was loving, so I kinda just pushed it under the rug. I was laying in the bed the other night trying to think of ways to be able to share with you guys things I am loving, beauty and non beauty related. I remember scrolling through bloglovin’ a few weeks ago and noticed a few girls doing Friday Five or Friday Favorites and I thought what a great way to incorporate those items that don’t necessarily need their own full blog post! That being said I have decided to give it a go!
This week I do have mostly beauty products and one fun little fall number that I rely on every.single.year! So – lets get started!
First Up, Shampoo and Conditioner! I have used it all and I do have a LOT of favorites. I also love to switch it around every once in a while but right now I am LOVING the Brocato VibraColor – Color Last Shampoo and Conditioner. I know that Ulta sales some of their products here. This is the shampoo and conditioner – it is the same product they just changed their packaging recently! You can also find their products here- for my amazon prime people!
So what do I love about it? A. The smell is amazing, it is fresh and has a slight hint of sunflower / floral without being over powering. It is super concentrated so it doesn’t take a lot to lather or to get tangles out. I also feel like it has kept my hair color going strong though out the last month of being in the sun!
Next up is thisworks® light time skin plumper. Before I get into this product, I have to tell you guys…! I used this over the past week when I had strep throat – gross I know – and I literally could see a difference while using it! It tingles a bit when I put it on and immediately you can see signs of fatigue and/or horrible illness’ fade. I put it on morning and night to get double time action from it and I have really been able to see a difference. I have been using it for almost 3 weeks now and highly recommend it!
Personal tip: I focus this around my eyes, mouth and forehead. I use a different product for my cheeks and nose!
So what do I use on the rest of my face? I use the exfoliating face wash at night but in the morning I alternate with this product for a more gentle alternative before putting on my makeup. I then mist my face with the toner – your technically supposed to spray it onto a cotton ball and rub it on your face but lets get real – I am lazy and aint got time for that...so I just close my eyes are spray! It is super refreshing and preps my skin for the next step. I then put the complex on my nose and cheeks. I am using this to help shrink my pores and y’all, I have only used this one for about two weeks and I can already see a difference! It is like a serious miracle product! I had never heard of it until recently so I decided to do some research and had read great reviews for people with larger pores and they were right!! Its crazy the difference you will see!
I am a sucker for a good palette, I am usually in a rush when I am doing my makeup so the less amount of items I either have to put away, or the less I leave sitting on the bathroom counter is better for both Ryan and I. He is not a fan when I take over his side of the sink!! Ha!
Not to mention, palettes keep my makeup bag and drawers so much cleaner and more organized! This Stila eye and cheek palette is so good! I looked at all the colors and ended up going with the light/medium because of the cheek colors. I like to color melt my cheeks from a darker to lighter tone and love the apples of my cheeks to look a little rosy so this was best for my skin tone. They have 4 options tho, so you will absolutely be able to find one for your shade! I do not know if this is the case with this palette but a lot of my palettes become limited editions and I never get to replenish them so make sure to stock up and get yours before they run out.
Last, but of course not least, well it isn’t beauty related so maybe it is least. Ha! But fall is my FAVORITE time for smells!!!! I have been using this Leaves candle for years now. At least three! Trust me, I do not know if I have ever met anyone who didn’t love this smell and I don’t think it has a scent or note in it that could offend any sense of smell! So next time your at the mall, make sure you grab one!
