I can not believe it but Ryan and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary in just a few days. 5 years may seem like such a short period of time to some but I can not believe how fast it has flown by. Two states, three deployments, three homes, two sweet babies – all in 5 years? Crazy! Through these changes, I have learned so much about marriage – especially the amount of sharing I would have to do. So what are these things that I share with Ryan – or that I could easily say that he steals from me?
1. My Obsession With The Bachelor(ette)
Well – he may deny this until the day he dies, but he secretly LOVES the Bachelor. I am not a t.v. person. I do not watch tv ever to be honest. Except for when The Bachelor comes on. It is the only time other than when I am behind my computer that I will sit still on the couch for over an hour. The best part – Ryan always makes sure it is recording and has it ready to go as soon as we get cleaned up from dinner.
2. My Sweet Treats
I grew up with my mom always having deserts and candy around our house but unless it was chocolate – I wanted nothing to do with it. Chocolate is the only sweet that I ever consume other than way too much sweet tea. I am extremely addicted to the Skinny Cow: Vanilla Bean Dream. They are the perfect sweetness and do not taste “skinny” at all. I always catch Ryan on the couch watching the news and devouring a Vanilla Bean Dream. I squeal and tell him he better not have taken the last one because I won’t have time to get back to the store until tomorrow! Skinny Cow isn’t just for women, it’s an indulgence for all. It comes in 3 delicious flavors: Vanilla Bean Dream, Ultimate Chocolate and Creamy Caramel – dipped in thick, velvety, chocolatey coating and filled with creamy ice cream and chocolate wafers.
3. My Kids Snuggles
I fully support him stealing snuggles and kisses from our babies – so this is obviously one of those things I do not mind him sharing with me. My favorite Friday nights are movie nights in our bed eating snacks with all 4 of us and the dogs, now that is not something I would have ever thought would be my ideal weekend night – but it absolutely is!
4. My Online Shopping Addiction
We totally shop online for different things but I have 100% rubbed off on him with my love of shopping in my pjs on my couch. I never used to be an online shopper until I had children and realized how difficult it was to browse stores with babies that just want to get out of the stroller and walk around or be held. That is when I became the master of online shopping as well as I realized I save way more money when shopping online because very rarely to I purchase anything at full price without a discount code!
