The Perfect Wedge

Since I can remember, every spring I pick out a new pair of go-to nude wedges to last me all season. I love a fun colorful shoe, but everyone needs that one pair they can reach for no matter the outfit or occasion. A nude wedge is always appropriate in the warmer months. That being said, I noticed a common trend in my selects, for the last several years every single one of my go-to wedges have been a pair of Steve Maddens! A few years ago – they were Steve Madden cork soles…the past few years they have all been espadrilles.

I almost ALWAYS order my shoes from Zappos. This summer’s go-to wedge is the Santorini because of the thick straps. I feel like when the straps are thicker it broadens any pressure points making the shoes much more comfortable and easier to walk in! Plus the thicker strap towards the ankle provides more support while walking. If you wanted another option with thicker straps and going back to the cork trend (cork is always so comfortable) I love this pair!
