This past weekend The Bands of 30A all volunteered their time to put on a 7 hours show to raise money to benefit the hurricane victims from Harvey. Many local beer, catering, bakeries, etc all set up tents and donate their drinks, food, and items for people to purchase and donated 100% to Harvey. Not 30%, not 70% but 100%! Amazing, right? The Bands of 30A are planning on putting on another concert for Irma coming up soon and we will absolutely be there to support as well! It’s feels so good to help out when you can and knowing 100% of your money is going to help someone in need make your heart feel so warm. People really are good!
So, even though it is September, ya’ll it is HOT! like so hot! I think it was about 90 degrees that day. What do we do to keep cool? Well, for one – in the grass we propped up our beach umbrella to give us all some shade! Ha! We stayed hydrated and ended up with our shoes off after about 10 minutes to let our feet cool off! I also brought this carseat cover by Baby Leaf and I am so thankful I did. It is thin and is easily unzipped for me to get to her when needed as well as to let some air in but keeps her in the shade at all times! The zipper doesn’t get hot because its actually nylon coil vs. metal and the cover can actually be used 6 different ways! It can be used as an infant car seat cover, baby carrier cover, nursing cover, stroller cover, swing cover, shopping cart cover, poncho and scarf.
