So I originally wrote a post on this “secret water” topic wayyyy back in the day. Y’all we are talking the end of 2012 when I first started my blog. So almost 7 years ago!!!! Holy sh*t, It has basically been 7 years! Does that make me an O.G. in the blogging world? LOL! So, I guess it is not really a secret, as it has been one of my most pinned on Pinterest blog posts to date, STILL!

Anyways, I do not drink this water all of the time – honestly, I just don’t always have mint on hand and sometimes I even forget about it for a while. But, after all of the travel I have been doing – I need something to get my body back in check and reset. I have had way too much salt in my diet lately due to eating out so much and my body and skin are currently suffering! After drinking this ‘secret water’ for 3-4 days, I will immediately start seeing results and feeling better.
Note – I stick to my normal healthy eating habits while doing this. This does not replace any meals!!!! There are like zero calories in this!!!

What you need: Cucumber + Mint + Lemon + 1 Gallon of Water
Cucumbers help with blood flow, immune system, and are a natural diuretic which will keep you from holding water weight.
Lemons give you energy, hydrate, detoxify and help kick start your metabolism! They also help with asthma, colds and liver issues.
Mint improves the taste in my opinion and also can soothe irritable bowl syndrome, can clear help reduce acne, eliminates toxins and freshens breath.
Attempt to drink the entire gallon in a day – but if you just can’t, get it in within two days (the taste starts to get funky after that!) I let it sit anywhere from a few hours to overnight before starting to drink it so that the vitamins from everything inside the water have time to disperse into the water!
I used to mix it slightly different when I first made it – but now I use one entire lemon, one entire cucumber and about 5 stems of mint!
Keep in mind, the more you drink of this, the less you are drinking of sugary drinks!
