Outdoor Refresh Around The Fire Pit | Lipstick Heels and a Baby

The time is here for sweet tea on the back deck, evening bonfires to set the mood and having friends and family over for cookouts and back yard fun. We LOVE entertaining – especially when we can spend it outdoors. We have spent so much time clearing out our back yard (it was new construction and had not been fully cleared out), building a large 2 level deck, having a half basketball court installed for Ryan and the boys, etc. To be honest – the only things that were missing are the sod that we still need to have put in and our dream patio furniture.

While searching for patio furniture we knew we wanted something extremely comfortable and timeless. We wanted pieces that we would be able to keep for years, even when our personal styles changed. We headed to our local Pier 1 after hearing such great things about their outdoor pieces and we saw they were having a Summer Sale! We chose the gorgeous Echo Beach Arm chair and couch to go around our DIY fire pit we made with a metal fire pit and stones we picked up at our local hardware store.

I love the sand color of the furniture with our gray and white deck. I feel like it brings in just the perfect amount of warmth to our soft, cool colors. I also love the comfort and durability of the synthetic whicker. When choosing cushions I wanted to keep it neutral but am a sucker for blues. I chose to do the vertical neutral stripes with pops of sky blue in the pillows to add some fun color!
