The Holidays are among us and Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye. Literally. How in the world is 2017 almost over?? I absolutely love Christmas – and I tend to go a little over board on the gifts for the kids but I remember my parents used to do the same for my brother and I and I love that I am not able to do it for our children. I tried to find a way to break up the gifts of what we are getting the kids this year so I figured I would do it by Charli and then the boys. They are both getting a few bigger and more expensive items that they will both share and then everything else we are pretty much getting them two of everything. They are so close in age it is almost like having twins.
For the boys (and maybe a little bit for Ryan) we got them the Nintendo Switch. I am so out of the loop when it comes to video games but apparently this is the cool gaming system this year – according to my husband and 5 year old. So – we were suckered in! Along with that Ryan picked them out a few games that I honestly am not even sure what they are. Mario and Mario Cart are of course is included in those though! For the boys, we also got them these Wonderhood toys. They are educational and imaginative play that gets their brains turning and moving since we all know video games pretty much do the opposite. Other items they are receiving this year are lots and lots of clothes, books, easels (Braydon and Walker both LOVE to draw) and more batman and action figures (just what they need, right?) Speaking of batman and any other super hero. I found the cutest jackets for the boys that look like a bomber jacket on the outside but on the inside it is covered in superhero comics! The perfect jacket to make both mama and the boys happy!
For Charli, she was so much fun to shop for because up until now I have shopped all things boy! Which – don’t take that the wrong way! I LOVE, but it was a fun pink and girly change! My parents got Charli the PB Anywhere chair. I am so excited because the boys both have this in gray so we got Char the pink ruffle chair! I also got her this ballerina monogramed suitcase for when she stays with my parents on the weekends. I seriously am tempted to use this tomorrow as I pack for her to stay with my parents while we are in Charleston but I REALLY want to save it for Christmas morning too! I got her a few books, mostly books where I could add in her name like this one. Way too many clothes and this adorable mermaid doll from Cuddle + Kind. C + K donates 10 meals for every doll sold, so it feels great to support a fab company while doing my Christmas shopping. A few other items you MUST add to your list if you have a little is this play mat from Skip Hop and this lamb plush playmat. Charli lives on these and is so happy. She is scooting and rolling and she has so much padded space to just go to town on. I especially love this mat because of the obvious color scheme. I loved that it wasn’t your typical primary colors!
What all is on your Christmas list for your kiddos this year? I would love a few more last minute ideas!! Please leave any suggestions in the comments of this post!!
