October is one of my favorite months at the beach and in Florida. The water is always glassier, the breeze is always cooler, and the weather gets a lot more predictable as far as rain is concerned. That being said the months temperatures may be chilly one week and warm again the next. Thankfully – DSW has everything our entire family needs in terms of fall footwear for all temperatures.
Boots are my favorite footwear option to wear year round. Booties, over-the-knee boots, combat boots, open toe booties (my summer favorite), block heel boots, etc. If it’s a boot – I probably will fall in love with it. A newer trend that I am loving with my boots this fall is embroidery. I feel like it adds personality and a fun little touch to your typical boots. I love these booties because the colors can be worn all fall and winter and even into spring with the light blue tones.
When looking for boots for the boys – I try to find neutral and classic pairs they can wear with multiple outfits. Since at this age they outgrow their shoes every few months, I want to make sure they get plenty of wear out of them before we are having to purchase a larger pair. Thankfully, Walker enjoys wearing ‘his big brothers shoes,’ so if Braydon hasn’t worn them out too much by the time he outgrows them – Walker usually is able to sport them for a while too.
While I was shopping for the boys, I stumbled upon this adorable pair of Minnetonka fringe booties for Charli. I literally died and had to have them. Obviously she doesn’t ‘need’ shoes yet, but I love it when her outfit looks complete with a cute pair of kicks! I also loved this pair because they were comfortable and soft so I didn’t feel like I was restricting her feet or little toes!
