Fall in Florida, is that even a real thing? I am pretty sure we get our ‘fall weather’ around Thanksgiving time. About a month of cold mid-December to mid-January! Trust me – I am not complaining…one of the many reasons I live in Florida but I do miss fall and colorful leaves! Since we only have a month or two of over-the-knee boots, I have become the queen of booties. I love them because they are typically a block heel, wedged or flat. Making them much more comfortable than a pair of high heels. I also love booties because you can dress them up or down. I can wear this same pair of booties with jeans, leggings, or a skirt/dress.
The most important thing to me when finding booties is that they are first of all comfortable, but also durable and stylish. I need them to last all fall and winter until I break out my sandals again for the spring. Unfortunately, I am very hard on my shoes with our cobblestone streets, sandy walkways, and kids spilling drinks all around me at all times. So durable to someone else may not be durable to me. That is why when I started looking for my go-to booties for this fall, I went straight to Zappos. One because not only do they have insanely fast shipping but they also have free shipping and returns, and not to mention – their customer service team is by far one of the best I have ever dealt with!!!
Looking for the right pair of booties can be super overwhelming, especially with the number of brand names that Zappos.com carries, but I knew a few things that I was looking for specifically this year, and my criteria was a brown suede, block heel, and arch support! I got all three of these things with Born Footwear! I picked out the Aire style because I loved the scrunch detail and the warmth of the brown suede. These come in 4 colors though, if you happen to need another color!
Do you have a go-to type of shoe for each season? A go-to brand? I would love to hear yours!!!
Here are the booties styled with a skirt 🙂
