It is finally here! I know, I know – I am so sorry that it has taken me almost two months to get all of her details captured since she has been born and to get her nursery up on the blog but I hope it was worth the wait! Also, if you follow me on instagram and watch my insta stories, you probably have seen several sneak peeks of the room already!
Before I get started – each item in Charli’s room is listed at the below the text on where to shop except her picture frames and a few books that were gifts from boutiques.
When designing Charli’s room I surfed and surfed pinterest and I must say – Pinterest usually ALWAYS has everything I am looking for, but this time, I just couldn’t find exactly what I wanted. That being said – I pretty much came up with the idea of painting her ceiling, trim and doors pink and her walls white instead of vice versa out of wanting her room to look extremely clean and bright, yet girly. Her walls are Extra White in eggshell finish (Harmony – fume free) by Sherwin Williams and her trim, doors and ceiling are Yours Truly 1317 Benjamin Moore in flat finish.
I was a little nervous when doing white furniture on white walls but I actually LOVE the way it looks because it is so clean, crisp, bright and makes all the little gold and pink details pop. Her Charli Scout sign is a custom print that was painted for her. Six Eleven Co makes some of the most beautiful name signs both with paint and wooden letters so make sure to check it out! We are thinking about ordering a FAY piece to go in our kitchen!
Her watercolor painting is seriously unreal. It is even more gorgeous in person and the pictures do not do it justice. Jenn (the artist) is so talented and makes the perfect watercolor pieces for your nursery, office, or just about anywhere in your house!
We used Carousel Designs for all of our curtains, sheets, etc. I actually want to replace our living room curtains with hers because they are black out, so thick and do not get wrinkly at ALL! They are seriously amazing!
For her rugs I didn’t want to cover her entire wood floor, since Ryan and I literally laid it by ourselves – we were proud and didn’t want our hard work to be hidden. So we went with two smaller rugs that are soft enough for her to play or crawl on as she gets older!
So, it is not decor. But I wanted to make note that we seriously love Charli’s monitor and crib mattress. So, this is actually our 5th monitor we have tried over the years – I kind of consider myself a baby monitor expert, ha! But anyways, it is bluetooth which is sooooo much more convenient than wifi in my opinion. The screen is LARGE and so clear! And, I love that it doesn’t have to be on my phone! I hated two of our monitors because I felt like I couldn’t use my phone when the babies were napping!!! Her mattress is a new one, the boys both shared a mattress but I knew there was so much more technology out there that we needed to up our game on the baby mattress! We chose to go with the Newton Baby Crib Mattress. The mattress is actually breathable right through it so it helps with suffocation! It has none of the foam, latex, springs and glue common in other crib mattresses!
Anyways, I hope you love it!! As I mentioned, everything is linked right below this but if you have any questions just leave them below or email me!!! XO
