Back Patio Decor

We LOVE the outdoors. Whether we are at the beach, playing in the back yard, or at a baseball game. Our family is just simply, outdoors people. So, to us – our back yard is literally an extension of our home. If you search backyard on my blog – I have posts on our eating area, or basketball court and our artificial turf. Over the years our patio area, right when you walk out of the back door, had been a little neglected. We sort of just surpassed it everything we went to the back yard and kept saying we would get to it later. Well, we finally finished it (other than the cover we are installing) and we are SO excited! And we got everything from Wayfair or it was an item we already had laying around the house!

We are adding a pergola with a shade over this entire area so we kept that in mind when we planned out what we wanted. We were looking for something extremely comfortable, like take a nap on during summer evenings, kind of comfortable. We did a lot of research and not only loved they way this couch looked but also loved that it was so versatile and comfortable. The ottoman can be doubled as a table or a foot rest. The cushion is removable as well if you wanted it to be a harder surface for a more coffee table feel.

We get a lot of rain on summer evenings and a lot of sun during the day so I needed a rug that was going to be durable and dry out quickly – but that also could take the blazing hot sun during the days. This won’t be as important once we get the pergola up – but until then, and for when we don’t have the shade on the top – I need something that would last. This rug is perfect. It doesn’t hold water and dries fast, doesn’t feel hot when the sun is beating on it, and isn’t fading! In my book – that is a win!

Okay, I LOVE these planters. They actually don’t have drain holes in them – so we used a concrete drill bit and did it ourselves but y’all – they are so sturdy and heavy and great! We love them!

I have a garden stool in my house that I got a few years back and we love it so much and its so durable. We decided to get one for the back yard that we could use as a side table, plant stand, etc. It has been a dream too for Charli to eat her snacks off of because it’s sturdy and just her height!

I always get nervous about outdoor pillows because I do not want them to get full of water and mildew or take forever to dry out but these have honestly been fantastic. To be honest – it poured last night for a good hour and after about an hour in the sun this morning – they are completely dry! Its amazing! Plus – they are soft enough to even use indoors if you wanted too!

So, yeah! We LOVE our new outdoor patio space – I hope you guys love it too and got some inspiration to spruce up your outdoor area as well!!! Wayfair is one of the BEST places to order from when it comes to home goods. Literally – we get 90% of our stuff from there!
