I love that you guys got so much use out of my first Walmart Baby Registry post – I decided to take it a bit further and give you ideas of products we used from the first few days our children were born until they were at least 5 years of age! And, maybe you aren’t expecting – but feel like you never really know what to get your best friend, sister-in-law, or coworker who is expecting for their baby gift? Hopefully the below will help guide you in the right direction.
ONE – the reason I chose this carseat is because it goes from 5lbs up to around 120lbs! It can be used rear facing, forward facing and in booster mode with a seatbelt for a child.
TWO – This stroller can be used with a travel system for an infant carseat, is easy to fold, is easy to run with and can be used on multiple different terrains.
THREE – Your kids will sleep on their crib mattress longer than you think if you are planning to convert them to a toddler bed before a twin or full size bed.
FOUR – Braydon would still be in his convertable crib (they typically convert to a full size bed) if we had not moved him and Walker into the same room and got them bunk beds. To be honest – you could probably use that crib full size bed until they move out of the house!
FIVE – We still use thermometers on all of our kids – if you do not prefer the ear type, you could get an oral or forehead.
SIX – This may seem silly, and it doesn’t have to be a stuffed animal – because we all know kids get so many of these at their first few birthday’s and never play with more than half of them. But, the reason I put this on here is because each of our kids have their one thing they clung onto. For years, (he out grew it when he was about 5) Braydon had a monkey he took everywhere with him. Sleep overs at grandparents, on flights, on car rides, to pre-k for nap time, etc. Most kids that I know, always have that one thing that keeps them comfortable when they are not in their usual surroundings.
SEVEN – I loved having these going in the kids rooms when they were younger and would even put in essential oils to diffuse and help them sleep at night. We still keep them in our closests incase the kids get sick or congested.
EIGHT – We took this out of the boys room recently since Braydon is quite a bit older, but had it in their room for years. It allowed me to not only check on them when they were sleeping but also allowed me to sit at my computer and work while they were playing in the bedroom next to my office – they didn’t even realize I could still look after them through the wall. Charli still has hers in her room of course.
