Velvet was a huge trend this winter and if your like me you really aren’t quite ready to say goodbye yet! I have been looking for spring appropriate pieces as well as ways to incorporate my winter velvet pieces into my spring wardrobe. I found these jewel colored blush beauties I am wearing online and knew I had to have them. Not only are they velvet, they are also blush, one of my favorite colors. As well as, lace up! Win, win if you ask me!
A few other qualities to look for in your velvet pieces for spring?
- Look for light colored or jewel toned velvet. Bright cheerful colors or light nudes are best!
2. Choose lighter pieces such as a velvet sleeveless dress, an off the shoulder top, or open toed/sandal style shoes.
3. Choose a flirty velvet mid-thigh skirt or a pair of shorts over midi or maxi style.
4. Small velvet accessories such as a fun velvet bow in your hair or a thin velvet choker add the slightest feminine detail.
5. Layer a velvet tank dress over a white cotton tee for a mix of spring and winter fabrics.
