Just like any other kids, our kids LOVE sweets – and in their opinion, sweets – such as ice cream and donuts taste that much better when we make it a family outing to go and get it! Whether we are walking, on the golf cart or driving, the boys (Charli is starting to catch on) squeal with excitement the entire way there. So what are our top places to go grab something sweet? We have tried them ALL and I am listing our top 5 below!
Starting west to east on 30a.
- Buddy’s in Dune Allen Beach
- Blue Mountain Creamery
- Heavenly’s Shortcakes + Ice Cream in Seaside
- 30A Pop Stop in Seagrove
- Charlie’s Donuts (you can also get these at Blue Mountain Creamery)
Have you guys been to any of these locations? If so, what are your favorite things to get at them? I have to tell you the banana pudding ice cream at Blue Mountain Creamery and the red velvet cake donuts at Charlie’s are the weekly cravings I always must get!! Ya’ll have to try them!
A few of these locations are on the way home from school – so, on Friday’s I let the boys pick which one they want me to go pick up some to go from and they eat it in the car on the way home. It can get extremely messy but our Maxi-Cosi Magellan car seats are beyond easy to clean and they have a cup holder on each side allowing the boys to have their water bottle in one and their ice cream up in the other. It makes for a much cleaner ride! If they do it get on the seat cushions – if it hasn’t sat too long, they typically wipe clean with a baby wipe. If I do need to remove the covers and throw them in the wash, these are by far the easiest car seats to do that on!
Oh and speaking of the car seats, they are so easy to get the kids in and out of, and since we have Braydon’s set up as a booster seat. He can actually buckle and unbuckle himself which makes my life of getting three kids in and out of the car that much easier!! And, if you’re wondering why I keep saying ‘kids’ and ‘them’ it is because all three of my kids have the exact same car seat, we are just using 3 different modes of the 5 it can convert to! Rear Facing, Front Facing, and Booster!
Just caught up on your recommendations for 30a! Thanks we are headed there next week! Thanks for sharing-!This content is better then all of your lip-puckered photos on Instagram- I wonder if one day you’ll look back on them and think why did I always pose like that 🙂
