Charli’s First Birthday – Unicorn Themed

I have no idea where time went. But somehow, over the weekend on 7.7, Charli turned ONE. We aren’t planning on having any more kids so it was an emotional day when our last baby turned just a bit less of a baby. So far she still has no teeth, which is crazy because both of the boys had several teeth at this age. She is very close to walking, we get about 4 steps at a time. And she’s thinks her brothers are absolutely hilarious, like alllll the belly laughs!

We I decided on a Unicorn theme for her birthday. I wanted something insanely girlie since I have been throwing multiple boy themed parties over the years. I wanted allll the pink and purple. For her cake, I had Publix make a plane white cake and I ordered this kit on amazon and decorated it myself. For the balloon arch – I got that from Shimmer and Confetti and put it together myself. Ya’ll – it looked amazinggggg but it did take a good hour and a half to put together!

I had a lot of people ask me what the clouds where on the fruit rainbow, it was the Fluff Marshmallow cream. I will say – It got hard as a rock…haha so mix it with cream cheese to keep it soft so people can dip into it!

For the rice crispy treats, I replace two cups of the rice cereal with fruity pebbles to make them multi colored.

The ‘puppy chow’ or muddy buddies is just regular muddy buddy recipe and I added purple and pink food coloring.

For meals, I did pasta salad and crescent roll sandwiches. I just did turkey and cheddar cheese with mustard and swiss and ham with poppy seeds, mustard and a little bit of Worcestershire sauce.
