This was our third time staying at The Pointe. It is kind of like our little oasis away from home, while still being home! We also spent a family weekend there and our baby moon there! So, if you can’t tell – we are huge fans of The Pointe. I also talk about it here on my 30a Travel Guide! We checked in on Friday – everyone got off work just a little early so we could get there before dark. When we arrived, my sweet girlfriends had decorated the entire room and had the most delicious birthday cake waiting on me when I walked in. We headed up to the rooftop to watch the sunset. From the rooftop you can look over all of Rosemary Beach and all the way to Alys Beach. You can also see the sun setting over the water – it truly is gorgeous and if your ever in town and staying at The Pointe- make sure to head up there! (It is for hotel guest only, one of the perks)
All of us agreed, that on Saturday we wanted to do absolutely nothing. We all have kids and it’s not often you get to lay by the pool and actually relax. We woke up, had coffee and ate breakfast – conveniently way too many chicken minis from chick-fil-a because some of our best friends own the one near us. Got our swimsuits on and headed down to the pool with a few cocktails. The Pointe has a restaurant on campus – and attached to the pool, that you can get take out from – Big Bad Breakfast (also serves lunch). As well as so many restaurants across the street you can also walk over to pick up takeout as well! Needless to say, my bum didn’t leave the pool the entire day!
Saturday night we made reservations at one of my favorite restaurants within walking distance of the Pointe, Paradis. Yes, even walking distance with heels on – which is one of the best things about the Pointe. Between, 30 Avenue and Rosemary Beach, there are so many dinner, drink and shopping options all within minutes of walking. We honestly park our car when we get there and do not get back in until we check out!
After Paradise, I thought we were headed to get chocolate fondu at La Crema, but turns out – my husband planned an entire surprise party for me with all of our friends. I couldn’t believe it. This year was my 31st birthday, I have never been surprised before, ever and I had told Ryan a few years ago. All I wanted for my 30th was a surprise party but at the same time – what kind of surprise would it be if I was expecting it. Well, turns out, I was also pregnant on my 30th so we had a laid back dinner with our friends to celebrate. Since I didn’t ‘get my surprise party for my 30th,’ my husband was SO sweet to plan this for me. I truly wasn’t expecting it at all. The video my girlfriend took of me is actually quite comical. I didn’t even believe it was happening when it was! Ha!

When you stay at the Pointe – on Sundays, Rosemary Beach has an AMAZING farmers market so make sure you go and check it out. There are families, dogs, and kids everywhere. Everyone is in baseball hats and no makeup and stocking up on goodies for the week. It truly is so much fun! One of my favorite things about our community.
Thank you to The Pointe for having us for the weekend!
