What you lay their body on
Whatever is spending an entire day or night on your baby’s skin, shouldn’t be anything that will irritate it. Whether it’s pj’s, sheets, or playsets, make sure it’s an item you can trust – since it is, hugging your baby for hours and hours on end. That being said- going ‘organic’ is not always affordable. But, Gerber offers stylish and affordable baby essentials, perfect for every baby and budget. The new line of Gerber Essentials at Amazon is made with organically grown cotton, which means the pieces breathable and soft for baby’s delicate skin. Some of the Gerber Essentials products on Amazon in the girl print include, Bodysuits, pants, Sleep N’ Plays, Take-Me-Home Sets, Caps and Mittens, Crib Sheets. I loved the pastel pink in stars and bunny prints but they also have adorable blue and grey items for baby boys and neutral white and grey sheep!
What you put inside their bodies on
Imagine spraying chemicals all over your plate and then putting your dinner on it and chowing down. You can’t imagine it – because we don’t do it. So why would you put chemicals all over a babies tray, kitchen counter, etc if they are eating their food there. We do have chemicals in our house such as bleach and other bacteria killing items – but we keep them out of our kitchen and if we do have to bring them in there, we wash the surface down with soap and hot water afterwards!
What you put on their body
Bath time is sacred. I want it to feel good, smell good, and be good for them. This is why I steer clear of harsh chemicals on our baby’s skin as well as keep it organic when at all possible! It is getting in their ears, nose, mouth and sometimes even their eyes, so make sure you know what you are putting on those babes! I look for words such as organic as opposed to ‘natural,’ as natural has a very loose definition when it comes to baby products.
